Ground has been broken for improvements to the airport terminal at St
Maarten SXM costing over $100 million.
One of the ways they are paying for this is by increasing the exit fee each
passenger must pay. The exit fee for international pax is now US$20. It
will increase to $25 on July 1, 2004 [next week], and to $30 on January 1,
2005.
